Tax Plan Support Comes With Deal

A graduated income tax plan is gaining support as Governor J.B. Pritzker negotiates with Democrats. Pritzker recently agreed to back a task force to tackle Illinois’ high property taxes in exchange for a yes vote from Democratic Representative Jonathan Carroll. Pritzker has also proposed a property tax relief fund. The task force will be up for a vote in the House this week.
