The family that owns the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the IndyCar Series has been sold to the Roger Penske Corporation. Penske will become just the fourth owner of the 110-year-old speedway. The Hulman family has owned the speedway for 74 years. WJOL’s Mike Gugliamucci says Roger Penske will make some changes.

Gugliamucci says there won’t be a lack of money going into the 16th Street speedway and thinks the sale will be a good thing for IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Board of Directors of Hulman & Company and subsidiaries have been sold to Penske Entertainment Corp. for an undisclosed amount.
