There is No Indication That Manhattan Teen Was Kidnapped
Will County Sheriff’s Office continue to search for missing Manhattan teen.  Lana Roemer has not been located. Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to follow up on multiple anonymous crime tips, emails, and phone messages related to the missing 16 year old. Detectives have been conducting interviews with Roemer’s friends and family. Multiple police agencies in Illinois and surrounding states have been notified to provide assistance based off of information gathered in the investigation.
To dispel any rumors, Lana Roemer ran away from her Manhattan residence. There is no indication that Roemer was ‘kidnapped’ by a stranger and no indication that there is a risk to public safety.
The Sheriff’s department says they are continuing to seek help from the public.  Please send in any information you may have related to this situation.

She was reported missing on Sunday, February 5th.

Roemer is described as a 16 year old with brown hair and hazel eyes, 5’4″ and weighing 100 pounds.
