Three Adults And Two Juveniles Arrested In Bolingbrook For A String Of Burglaries

On September 5, 2024, at approximately 4:10 a.m., Bolingbrook Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Lakewood Farms for a report of a burglary to motor vehicle that had just occurred. As officers arrived in the area, they observed two subjects fleeing the scene on foot. The two subjects were quickly detained and later taken into custody.

Officers worked with residents to identify five total offenders who had committed burglaries throughout the neighborhood. Officers diligently canvassed the neighborhood, recovering burglary proceeds, an illegal firearm, and all five offenders.

Bolingbrook Police Chief Mike Rompa commends these officers for their prompt response and thorough investigation. Their efforts helped to find justice for the victims, took an illegal weapon off the streets, and prevented additional burglaries from occurring.

Three adults and two juveniles were arrested. The juveniles were released to guardians and will be petitioned into juvenile court. The three men arrested were: Jose Sanchez (Joliet, 28), Francisco Medina (Bolingbrook, 23), and Mateo Guzman (Joliet, 18).
