Three Rescued From Pond In Naperville

A two-year-old child and two adults are safe after they were rescued from a vehicle that crashed into a pond in Naperville.

Police say officers found a white SUV partially submerged in the retention pond near Naperville’s 95th Street Library yesterday on Cedar Glade Drive. Three officers jumped into the water and were able to break the vehicle’s windows to pull the toddler and two adults to safety. Investigators believe the accident happened when the person driving the SUV mistook the gas for the brake pedal and accidentally drove into the pond.
