Three men in Will County arrested over the weekend for gun violations. On Sunday, August 4th around 1:00 a.m., Will County Sheriff’s deputies were on patrol when they were advised that Joliet Police had a call regarding shots fired in the area of Florence Avenue. Deputies were provided a suspect vehicle description.

Shortly after the advisement, Sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle matching the description near Second and Baker Streets in Joliet Township. Deputies made a traffic stop and spoke with the three individuals inside the vehicle. The driver, Quentin Weekley, age 21, of 217 Logan Avenue in Joliet, stated that he had a firearm inside the vehicle but held a valid FOID card, which was confirmed. Deputies proceeded to conduct a Terry search because of the shots fired call and the matching description of the vehicle. Deputies found Weekley’s .45 caliber handgun to be loaded with the identifying numbers scratched off. Weekley was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Firearm and Defacing identifying marks on a Weapon. His bond was set at $2,000 (10% to apply).

During a further search, a partially loaded .40 caliber handgun was discovered in the back seat near passenger Jeri Kinney, age 22, of 1501 Woodbridge Road in Joliet. He was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon/no FOID card, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition. His bond was set at $25,000 (10% to apply).
