Two Bolingbrook Residents Fight With Police During Traffic Stop

On May 18th at approximately 11:20 PM, Bolingbrook Police effected a traffic stop near Deerfield Dr and Ashbury Ave for equipment and moving violations. During the course of the stop, the driver and a passenger ignored police commands and physically resisted police efforts to take them into custody.

The passenger, Raniesha S. Darring, 19, of the 500 block of Dubois Circle in Bolingbrook, refused to follow the officer’s orders to exit the vehicle. As the officer attempted to escort her from the vehicle, Darring physically resisted the officer’s efforts, striking the officer during the process. Darring was taken into custody. The driver, Jamiel S. McDonald, 18, of the 300 block of Deerfield Dr in Bolingbrook, began to fight with officers and was also taken into custody.

Jamiel McDonald was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, and multiple traffic violations, and was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Raniesha Darring was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting a peace officer and was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
