Two Reed-Custer School District teachers have resigned after both were arrested on separate sex crime charges. Dayna Chidester is accused of engaging in sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male. 28-year-old Kevin W. Macha has been charged with being in possession of child pornography. The two teachers have both submitted their resignations to the Reed-Custer 255 board. Macha had worked for the district since 2015 while Chidester had work for 255 since 2017. Reed-Custer School District has also been named as a defendant in a lawsuit that alleges a sexual assault against a freshman football player by fellow football players, in what the suit describes as a culture of hazing.
