Vietnam Soldier Dog Tag Being Returned To Family

The dog tag of a Hancock County Vietnam soldier who sacrificed his life will be returned to his family tomorrow. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans’ Home in Quincy. United States Marine Corps Corporal David Gary Redenius died for his country 54 years ago at the age of 20 and is the recipient of the Purple Heart. His dog tag was found recently in Vietnam by a Canadian tourist.
