Wal-Mart In Joliet Evacuated – False Alarm

A few scary moments for shoppers and employees at the Wal-Mart on Route 59 in Joliet. The store was evacuated at approximately 8:30 a.m. Someone reported an unattended bag and the store was evacuated as a precaution. Joliet Police Department responded to the call, analyzed the bag and determined it was safe. They located the owner of the bag who apologized. The person made an error in leaving the bag. The store was given the all clear just after 9 a.m.
