The City of Joliet, in partnership with the Spanish Community Center, is excited to announce the launch of the “We Count 2020” Census (Todos Contamos 2020) Campaign and the formation of the Joliet Area/Crest Hill Complete Count Committee. We extend an invitation to all interested members of the public to our “We Count 2020” Census Campaign kick-off event, which will take place Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Nowell Park Recreation Center, 199 Mills Road, Joliet.

Joliet Mayor Bob O’Dekirk will provide an opening keynote address on the importance of getting a complete count for the upcoming 2020 U.S. Census. The event will also feature a presentation by the U.S. Census Bureau on the basics of the 2020 U.S. Census, and by the Spanish Community Center on outreach efforts to hard-to-count populations of the community. The event will conclude with how you and/or your organization can assist with Census 2020 outreach and participate in the newly formed Joliet Area / Crest Hill Complete Count Committee.
