The Will County Children’s Advocacy Center has received their largest single donation in the over 20 year history of the facility. The Exchange Club of Naperville donated $9,800 to the facility on Thursday morning. Will County State’s Attorney Jim Glasgow established the Advocacy Center in 1995 to improve the investigations into cases involving the sexual abuse of children. When children make an outcry of sexual abuse, a trained and compassionate interviewer obtains an accurate statement in a neutral, non-suggestive, and child-friendly environment. Forensic interviews recorded at the Will County CAC have been used in the successful prosecution of hundreds of child predators.
