Wisconsin National Guard Mulling Punishment For Illinois Congressman

The Wisconsin National Guard is looking into a punishment for an Illinois congressman who questioned the state’s governor. Congressman Adam Kinzinger, who is a member of the Wisconsin guard, criticized Governor Tony Evers’ decision this week to withdraw the state’s troops from the southern border. Guard commanders say those comments may have violated the state’s ban on troops bad-mouthing the governor. Kinzinger’s congressional office says he was exercising his First Amendment rights.
