Will County Coroner Identities Woman Struck In Vehicle Crash

of McDonough Street west of South Larkin Avenue fatal accident/ss

The Will County Coroner’s office is identifying the woman killed in a crash. The victim is identified as 49-year-old Stephanie Imrisek, of Joliet. Ms. Imrisek was pronounced deceased at Ascension St. Joseph’s Hospital on September 18, 2023, at 07:44 p.m.

Joliet police is investigating the deadly accident after a vehicle struck a pedestrian. The incident happened Monday night near the corner of Larkin and McDonough. Authorities say a Ford-250 pickup truck struck a female victim. The driver, identified as 33-year-old Matthew Ortelli, left the scene but returned a short time later. He was cited for failure to give information and rendering aid.
