Woodfield Mall: Barriers Are In Place At Entrances We Control

Schaumburg Mayor Tom Dailly is calling for protective barriers at all Woodfield mall entrances after a man plowed a SUV through the door of one of the retailers. The vehicle drove through the common area and rammed into storefronts and kiosks. Mall management announced that Sears refused to have barriers at their entryway and the posts are in place at all of the other entryways it controls. The man who drove the SUV was taken to Amita Health Behavioral Medicine Institute for treatment and will not be charged until his release.
