The Workforce Center of Will County is joining with the Kankakee and Grundy Counties Workforce Services to host a transportation, distribution, and logistics job fair from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, October 16 at the Wilmington Island Park District, 315 N. Water Street in Wilmington. Numerous employers from these and related industries will be part of this job fair.
“Will County is home to the world’s largest inland port so there are many job opportunities in the transportation, distribution, and logistics industries,” said Will County Executive Larry Walsh. “This job fair will enable job seekers to meet with various employers from Will and our neighboring counties to find a good job.”
Among the available positions are deckhand, dry and liquid barge technicians, logistics supervisor, regional truck drivers, package handlers, and drivers. Other positions include forklift operators (reach, standup and cherry), machine operators, clerk, picker, unloader, Class A CDL driver, warehouse material handler, welder, machinist, maintenance technicians, package handlers, and mechanics. Job seekers are encouraged to bring a resume, dress professionally and be ready for an interview.
