WJOL listeners asked what the construction project is on Jefferson Street west of Essington Road. The City of Joliet tells WJOL that the construction in front of Woodlawn is a utility project, the installation of a gravity sewer. Once completed the sewer will eliminate the need for a lift station on Essington. The gravity sewer allows storm water to be carried away through underground pipes Should be completed in the Spring.
