Ed Burke Denies Wrongdoing Despite Solis Recordings

Indicted Chicago Alderman Ed Burke is still denying any wrongdoing despite news that he was secretly recorded by fellow Alderman Danny Solis. Following his first City Council meeting yesterday since being charged with attempted extortion, Burke told reporters he has done nothing wrong and anything that Solis recorded isn’t going to make a difference. The Sun-Times reported yesterday that Solis was working with the FBI and secretly recorded conversations with Burke for the last two years. Burke also vowed to win re-election next month.
