Illinois Earns Top Seed In Midwest Region Of NCAA Tournament

Illinois is the top seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Illini will open the tourney Friday against sixteenth-seeded Drexel at Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis. Illinois enters the Big Dance fresh off beating Ohio State 91-88 to win the Big Ten Tournament. The Orange and Blue will be competing in their first NCAA Tournament since the 2012-13 season. The Illini earned a one seed for the first time since 2005.
