The Boys & Girls Club of Joliet and Mayor Bob O’Dekirk are presenting “A Night At The Fights.” The amateur boxing fundraiser is in partnership with Joliet’s Luna Box Club will occur Saturday, February 23rd.

Mayor O’Dekirk used to box as a child and did a similar event fours years. They hope to make this an annual event. There will be 12 bouts of boxing. All ages up to 18 of which many of the boxers are expected to turn pro soon.

The Boys & Girls Club is one of the oldest institutions in Joliet, dating back 65 years. Their mission is to provide facilities, services, and support for the youth of Joliet including educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities to all members regardless of nationality, religion, race, creed, or sex.
