Farewell Council Meeting Held Outside For Longtime Bolingbrook Mayor

Hundreds of Bolingbrook residents gathered on the “hill” behind Village Hall for Mayor Roger Claar’s final council meeting. The meeting was held outdoors to allow more people to attend at a social distance due to COVID-19. Mayor Claar is retiring after nearly 34 years as Mayor. He was appointed in 1985 and never lost an election since. A special council meeting will be held on Thursday to appoint an interim Mayor.
