Federal Grand Jury Indicts Ex-Postal Workers For Fraud Related To COVID Relief Funds

A number of current and former central Illinois United States Postal Service Workers are charged with fraud related to the Paycheck Protection Program. A federal grand jury has indicted 19 individuals. The PPP provided federally backed funds to small businesses that were directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The d efendants face prison time if convicted.
