Illinois Lawmakers Cancel Fall Veto Session Due To COVID-19

The Illinois General Assembly is canceling its veto session due to rising cases of COVID-19. Lawmakers were due to return to Springfield next week for the first day of a scheduled six-day fall veto session. The state has been seeing steadily increasing coronavirus cases. It is unclear when the House and Senate will convene again.
