The march toward a 15-dollar-an-hour minimum wage in Illinois could begin in a matter of weeks. Chicago Democrat Kimberly Lightford yesterday said she’ll introduce a plan to raise the starting wage in the state in the next few weeks. Lightford said the state needs to act to help people get bigger paychecks. But, business groups say a 15-dollar-an-hour minimum wage will actually cause a lot of people to lose their jobs.
