Lisa Holder White Becomes First Black Woman On Illinois Supreme Court

A downstate Republican judge is making history on the Illinois Supreme Court. Judge Lisa Holder White has officially joined the state’s highest court as its first Black female justice. Holder White was sworn in yesterday at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield. She was chosen to replace the retiring Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rita Garman.
