The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago is getting a new name following a massive donation from billionaire Ken Griffin. The South Side museum will become the Kenneth C. Griffin Museum of Science and Industry after the museum’s board voted to accept a 125-million-dollar donation and name change yesterday morning. It isn’t known when the name change will be made official. The donation is the largest in the institution’s history.
