State Sen. Cullerton Resign, To Plead Guilty In Embezzlement Case

State Senator Thomas Cullerton is stepping down as he plans to plead guilty in a federal embezzlement case.  The Villa Park Democrat resigned from office yesterday.  A hearing is scheduled for March 8th for his plea.  Cullerton was indicted in 2019 over allegations he pocketed almost 275-thousand-dollars in salary and benefits from the Teamsters union despite doing little or no work.
