Video Of Ice Jam Along Kankakee River

WJOL is learning of a water rescue along Cottage Road which is between the Kankakee River and the Dresden Cooling Lake. The rescue is said to be in the area of Cottage Road and North Will Road which is north of Lorenzo Road.

Ice jam is breaking free in the Kankakee River and could cause flooding. Be careful as you drive around the Wilmington area. The National Weather Service says when you see you flooding, turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Video below.
