Chicago Alderman Edward Burke and his top political aide are pleading not guilty to corruption charges. The embattled City Council member and Peter Andrews appeared in federal court this morning for an arraignment hearing after a 59-page indictment was released last week. Burke is accused of using his powerful post as City Council Finance Committee chairman to direct business to his private law firm. Developer Charles Cui, who also stood before the judge today, has already pleaded not guilty to earlier charges.
