CPD: Jussie Smollett Handed Over Phone Records

Chicago police are confirming that “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett turned over phone records after he reported being attack by two men last month in Streeterville. However, a police spokesman said the records aren’t sufficient and don’t meet the burden of a criminal investigation. Detectives may require more assistance from Smollett. The gay and black actor told officers two men beat him, poured a chemical on him and wrapped a rope around his neck on January 29th.
