Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry is urging interested individuals from both major political parties to sign up to become an Election Judge to work the Consolidated Election on April 2. Administrator Mary Kay Campbell says each polling place has a split of both parties being represented but right one party is needed more than another.

There is a particularly pressing need for new Election Judges in the following townships: Channahon, DuPage, Frankfort, Homer, Joliet, Lockport, New Lenox, Troy, and Wheatland.

Election Judges are required to attend a 2-1/2 hour training class are paid $150 for the day they are assigned to work at a polling place in addition to mileage reimbursement. There are more than 1550 election judges needed in Will County to properly staff an election.
