Joliet Teen In Critical Condition After Being Shot Several Times

On April 14, 2024, at 7:52 p.m., Joliet Police Officers responded to the  area near Landau Avenue and Ohio Street for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, Officers  located an 18-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately  provided medical assistance to the victim until the arrival of Joliet Fire Department paramedics.  The victim was transported to Silver Cross hospital by the Joliet Fire Department in critical  condition.  

Officers and Detectives conducted a canvas of the area of the shooting. This is an active  investigation in its early stages as Joliet Police Detectives work to identify a suspect or suspects.  If anyone has information related to this incident, they are encouraged to contact the Joliet Police  Department Investigation Division at 815-724-3020.
