(Springfield, IL)  —  The state of Illinois wants to buy people out of their pensions, but there’s no money right now to do it.  Dave Urbanek with the Illinois Teachers Retirement System says they’re waiting on a state bond sale to have the cash on hand to pay retirees to walk away from their pensions.  Urbanek says with a change in the governor’s office, he’s not sure when that money will be made available.
