Illinois Unemployment Numbers Trending Down

The Illinois Department of Employment Security says the state’s unemployment numbers are trending down. About 29-thousand fewer people continued their unemployment claims last week, causing a four-percent drop. Over 675-thousand people in the state are still claiming unemployment each week. The drop in Illinois is slower than the drop in the national rate, which is at eleven-percent.
