Jake Arrieta Retiring From Baseball

Former Cubs ace Jake Arrieta is retiring from baseball.  The former Cy Young Award winner said on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast that it’s time to step away from the game.  Arrieta is ending his 12-year MLB career.  The right-hander pitched for the Cubs from 2013 to 2017 and the first half of the 2021 campaign.  He helped Chicago win the 2016 World Series and tossed two no-hitters in a Cubs uniform.
