Lightfoot Not Setting Date For Ending COVID Mandates

Mayor Lightfoot isn’t setting a date for when Chicago will lift its mask and proof of COVID-19 vaccine mandates. The mayor said she isn’t prepared to put an artificial date on lifting the mandates, even as COVID cases continue to drop in the city. Governor Pritzker announced last week he would lift his indoor mask mandate for most public settings by February 28th. However, Chicago is free to impose more stricter COVID policies.
