Man Charged After Allegedly Writing Checks From Boy Scout Troop To Himself

An Aurora man is accused of writing checks from a Boy Scout Troop to himself. John R. Miller is charged with felony theft. Naperville police say the 59-year-old defendant, who was the troop’s treasurer, deposited more than 21 thousand dollars from the troop into his personal bank account. Authorities were contacted about thousands of dollars missing from the troop’s account in February.
