The Chicago Sky are hiring a Hall of Famer to be their next coach. Shams Charania is reporting that the Sky agreed to a deal with Teresa Weatherspoon to lead their bench. Weatherspoon was a five-time WNBA All-Star during her playing career, which spanned from 1997 until 2004. The two-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year also won a gold medal in the Olympics with Team USA in 1988. Weatherspoon was the head coach for Louisiana Tech for five seasons, and she was an assistant with the New Orleans Pelicans from 2019 until she was fired last June.
