Some Illinois Lawmakers Working To Oust Speaker

Legislation is being proposed that would remove Representative Michael Madigan from his role as House Speaker. The resolution was filed yesterday, nearly two weeks after news broke about a federal investigation implicating Madigan in a bribery scheme involving ComEd. Representative Avery Bourne, a co-sponsor of the resolution, says Madigan should have resigned the day the allegations became public.
