Alleged Hazing Incident at Plainfield Central High School

The Plainfield Police Department is sharing details about an alleged hazing incident that may have taken place at Plainfield Central High School. It was on Friday, October 18th that Plainfield District 202 contacted the Plainfield Police Department of an incident that occurred on the afternoon of Thursday October 17th at Plainfield Central High School. The Plainfield Police Deparment is currently investigating the alleged incident and working with the school district and the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office. All the victims and suspects in the incident are juveniles. The Plainfield Police Department has determined that initial allegation of a “hazing incident” does not meet the statutory definition of Hazing as it was not part of an induction process and no bodily harm occurred. However, misdemeanor charges of Battery are pending against four juveniles. The case is still under investigation.
