City of Lockport to Hold Community Document Destruction Event

The City of Lockport will be holding a document destruction event for residents on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at City Hall, 222 E. 9th Street, in the west parking lot.

 File folders
 Hanging files
 Computer files
 Computer paper
 Notepads
 Envelopes

Excluded Materials

 Cans/bottles
 Food/wrappers
 Thick metal
 Copier/printer cartridges
 Corrugated cardboard
 Non-recyclable materials
 Large quantities of plastic
 Biohazard materials
 Medical waste

There is no need to remove staples, paperclips, fasteners, or rubber bands. The service will be provided by ProShred Security. To learn more about ProShred, please visit their website or call their local number at (708) 263-4292.

This is a free event hosted by the City of Lockport. In keeping with current COVID-19 guidelines, a City staff member will assist by removing papers to be destroyed from each vehicle. Residents are asked to please package papers in boxes or bags to help with the transport process. Additional details are available in the event flyer.
