Duncan Lays Out Plan For Combating Chicago Violence

Former U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan is laying out his plan to combat Chicago violence.  Speaking to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce yesterday, Duncan proposed putting more officers on patrol to focus on solving homicides and shootings.  He also wants the city to spend 400-million-dollars a year on violence-prevention programs.  While discussing his plan, Duncan told reporters he is “absolutely thinking about” challenging Mayor Lightfoot next year.
