The Village Preservation Association brings something for everyone at the parade: bagpipers, Irish dancers, musical groups and acrobats to downtown Plainfield. Plus, the cherished bike-decorating contest for kids!

 This year’s 21st Hometown Irish Parade will roll through downtown Plainfield beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 17. Begun by a few young families who got together to stroll through their neighborhood one sunny spring day some two decades ago, the parade now involves bagpipers, floats, Irish dancers, acrobats and much more – and draws thousands of spectators to the village every year.
