Winter has arrived in Chicagoland with a bang. Temperatures plummeted overnight, turning rain into a snowfall that caused problems during this morning’s commute. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that calls for snow into the early afternoon that could bring up to three to five inches of accumulation. They also say temps will peak in the low 30s then drop to 12 degrees over the next couple of nights. Meanwhile, airlines had canceled more than 600 flights at O’Hare and Midway airports. Several accidents were reported on the roads on Monday morning.
