IDPH Recommending Pfizer Vaccine For Young Children

The Illinois Department of Health is recommending that children ages five- through eleven-years-old receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The IDPH announced their recommendation Wednesday. The recommendation lines up with the one issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Tuesday. The approved vaccine doses are a third of the size of doses meant for older kids and adults. The series of shots includes two doses, three weeks apart.
