Illinois AG Targeting Smash And Grab Retail Crimes

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul is targeting smash-and-grab retail crimes in the Chicago area. The Sun Times reports Raoul and the Illinois Retail Merchants Association introduced a draft bill yesterday that would create a new organized retail crime charge. The proposed legislation aims to put a stop to retail crimes like recent high-profile incidents on Chicago’s Mag Mile and at Oak Brook Center in the western suburbs.
