Illinois House Approves Expansive Abortion Rights Bill

An expansive abortion rights bill is moving to the Illinois Senate. The Reproductive Health Act passed the state House yesterday, extending protections for those who want abortions. Passionate arguments were made on both sides during debate over the bill, which would allow women to get the procedure much later in their pregnancies. If the Senate approves in a concurrence vote, the bill will move to Governor JB Pritzker’s desk for possible signature.
