Investigation After Armed Robbery at Channahon Truck Stop
An investigation is underway after an armed robbery at a Channahon truck stop. It was at 2:37 a.m., that Channahon Police Officers responded to the Love’s Travel Stop located at 23801 W Bluff Rd. for a report of a robbery.
Officers learned a black male, wearing a black ski mask and gloves, dressed in camouflage clothing, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk working at the counter. A weapon was implied, but not displayed.
The Love’s employee working the at the time complied with the suspect’s instructions, providing the suspect with the money from the register. The suspect fled the area in a dark colored SUV prior to officers arriving.
