Larry Walsh Endorses His Chief Of Staff For Will County Executive

In front of a standing room only crowd, Will County Executive Chief of Staff Nick Palmer announced his candidacy for Will County Executive last night. Current Will County Executive Larry Walsh, who announced his decision not to run for re-election in 2020, was on hand to endorse and to praise Palmer, saying, “I’m not going to worry about a thing, Nick is running for the right reasons. Nick is a workhorse, not a showhorse.”

During his announcement, Palmer thanked Walsh for being a role model. Palmer, a Joliet-native and a 40-year resident of Will County, has worked in county government under the direction of Walsh for nearly 15 years. During his candidacy announcement, Palmer reiterated, “I’m here to serve the residents of Will County. The residents are my special interest group.”
