Metra Train Derailment

Metra Rock Island inbound and outbound train traffic is halted near Lasalle Street due to train #704’s derailment, with approx. 600 passengers on board. Chicago Fire Department is at the scene, assisting passengers and Metra staff. No apparent injuries. Metra said all of the cars remained upright, but the first car behind the locomotive derailed. The CTA will honor Metra tickets at 35th.
